Family Law Expert David T. Pisarra, Esq. Levels The Playing Field With Tri-Fecta of "How To Divorce" Books for Men

Noted Southern California Family Law Attorney and newspaper columnist David T. Pisarra, Esq. has had enough.

Driven by the realities of Family Court, where good men are eviscerated daily by vindictive spouses and aggressive lawyers, Pisarra has announced the concurrent release of three paperback books intended to provide men with "Man-Speak" advice, tips and strategies on how to protect themselves, their wallets and their relationship with their children.

The books, "A Man's Guide to Divorce Strategy," "A Man's Guide to Child Custody," and "A Man's Guide to Domestic Violence" (Libero Media - $14.95) are written in easy to understand language that speaks to most men's "bottom line" personalities. The books are available in both paperback and as e-books through numerous online distribution channels, including BarnesandNoble.com, Amazon.com, Ingram Book Company retail channels as well as the author's website at mensfamilylaw.com.

"Time after time I see men enter in to divorce or custody proceedings without having the slightest idea of their rights or what's expected of them," says Pisarra whose column "What's the Point" appears weekly in the Santa Monica Daily Press. "And just as importantly they don't know what to expect from the courts. Gender neutral decisions? That looks good on paper. The reality is usually something far different."

Most everyone knows that more than 50% of marriages in the U.S. end in divorce. But, according to Pisarra, what most divorcing men fail to realize until it's too late is what marriage really is.

"In the eyes of the court marriage is nothing more or less than a business contract," says Pisarra. "Too many men enter in to this contract without considering the consequences if it doesn't work out. And after their spouse takes in the advice of lawyers and friends the reality is that, more than likely, the woman they married won't resemble the woman they are divorcing."

A Man's Guide To Divorce Strategy (ISBN-10: 0983163502-pp:126) focuses on the nuts and bolts of preparing and executing a divorce to help men protect themselves and their assets.

A Man's Guide to Child Custody (ISBN-10: 0983163510-pp:114) provides case studies and tips to help men combat the antiquated notion that women are automatically the more suitable parent solely because of gender.

A Man's Guide to Domestic Violence (ISBN - 10: 978-0-9831635-2-7-pp:71) doesn't offer up sympathy for men who abuse but does offer strong advice for those who are wrongfully accused of abuse or are the victims of abuse themselves.

"These books aren't about bashing women," says Pisarra. "But they are most definitely about empowering men." Having represented hundreds of men in court Pisarra pulls from his experience to lay out the ground rules, the expectations and the bottom line of divorce, alimony and custody in language that is easily digestible, concise and doesn't pull punches.

"I want to save men thousands of dollars in legal advice and give them the tools to take on the biases that exist in our society and court systems," he says adding, "I'm tired of seeing good men suffer when they don't have to."

David T. Pisarra is available to speak on his books and the current climate of divorce in America. Interview requests may be directed to Todd Fraser at [email protected] or 310.278.2630. For additional information please visit Men's Family Law at mensfamilylaw.com.
