Habersham Expands Claude Monet Collection

Newest Designs Inspired by Famed Artist's Giverny Home and Extensive Travels On View During Summer Gift & Home Markets in Dallas, Chicago

Toccoa, GA - Making their debut during the Spring 2010 High Point Market, the newest additions to Habersham's popular Claude Monet Collection will also be featured during the Summer 2010 Gift and Home Markets in Dallas and Chicago. These designs, and many others, will be highlighted in the Gallery Six showroom, WTC 11013, Dallas Market Center and the deAurora showroom, #1871, at the Chicago Merchandise Mart.

Habersham launched the licensed Claude Monet Collection in 2000 with a series of designs inspired by the Impressionist's famed home in Giverny and the works he created during his time there. The company has continued to add designs over the years reflecting the Giverny home, its furnishings, surroundings and other important works by Monet. A number of pieces in the collection have also been inspired by environments, and the stunning paintings they inspired, during the artist's extensive travels to the rugged Normandy Coast and parts of the Mediterranean during the late 1800s.

Among the new designs:

Monet Rouen Coffee Table - Completely painted by hand, the designs around the table's base and top are patterned after the renowned blue and white Rouen tiles that cover the walls of Monet's famed Giverny kitchen.

Monet Vernon Console Table - Named for one of the quaint villages in the south of France where Monet lived and worked, this console is shown in the Winter Skies Multicolor Studio finish.

Normandy Grand Monet Breakfront - As an artist, Monet traveled extensively to find visual inspiration and it was the Normandy Coast that seemed to provide a true touchstone for his life and work. Shown in the Sandemar Multicolor Studio finish, this grand breakfront offers an ideal showplace for treasured accents.

Monet Chinoiserie Breakfront - This graceful design represents Monet's interest in the romantic city of Venice where he stayed and painted for a number of years. Inspired by the Chinoiserie looks found in many grand Venetian interiors during Monet's time, the Habersham artisan team has decorated this piece with the fanciful , hand-painted Chinese imagery reflective of that era.
