Half The Man LLC Set To Launch Write Our Movie On October 10, 2010

Online, August 10, 2010 (Newswire.com) - [Astoria, NY] After several years of planning and development, Half The Man LLC has officially set the launch date of Sunday, October 10th to begin an online collaborative screenplay completely open to the public.

Based out of Astoria, Queens the company plans to utilize crowdsourcing for what is traditionally considered a one-man job, writing a screenplay.

Daniel Battaglia, co-founder of WriteOurMovie.com had this to say about his latest business venture:

Though a complex concept, the website and layout is user-friendly. Jordan Ferenc (co-founder) and Daniel will begin "The Movie" with one single scene that they will develop and write together.

According to the website they will begin accepting scenes from anyone who would like to submit to the project while keeping into consideration some simple guidelines. Once a user has submitted one scene he/she has the ability to rate any and all future scenes that are accepted to "The Movie".

A "simple algorithm" will be used to decide whether the community has deemed a scene "unsatisfactory" for the final script and therefore be removed, replaced or rewritten.

Once the final script is "complete" it will be edited into a fully, sellable and marketable script. If sold and produced, the writers whose scenes made final selection will be invited to the premiere of the film and be guaranteed a screen credit.
