Halloween Tribute To Jacko At Children's Activity Centre

Stoke-on-Trent's newest children's playhouse is to make its own chilling tribute to Michael Jackson this Halloween.

Fifteen dancers from across the City are set to perform Jackson's famous 'Thriller' dance at Fenton-based Fun Factory's Halloween party on October 29th, as part of a series of events to celebrate the centre's change of management.

They have been taught the routine by dance company Studio One, and will perform between 5.30 and 8.30.

Local magician 'Magic Chris' will also be hand to entertain at the event.

New owner Alex Saba, who took over this summer, had planned a launch party once extensive refurbishments to the King Street centre were completed.

She said: "Our refurbishments will be finished by the end of October, and we can think of no better way to mark the occasion than with a massive Halloween fancy dress party.

"The main attraction will be a brilliant version of Thriller from some of Studio One's dancers, which will also help us launch our own dance classes."

The street dance classes, which are open to boys and girls of all ages, will start in November.

The centre already hosts a number of activities such as toddlers' mornings, after school clubs, and a children's disco area, and will be adding beauty parties, football parties and exclusive hire to the list in the next three months.

At 14000sq ft, Fun Factory is one of the largest playhouses in the area, and offers a range of equipment including a giant play frame, a 180 degree tube slide, and a mini football pitch.

Children with special needs are welcomed and catered for.
