Hammerax Contest- Win a Free $474 Whipcrash Cymbal

Hammerax has announced a contest where drummers can guess the number of hammer dents in a 24" Whipcrash Ultra cymbal and win one, absolutely free. (Street value $474 USA).

Whipcrash are among the loudest cymbals ever made. The 24" Ultra has been measured at 119 db. Most loud cymbals focus in one range, usually highs. Whipcrash spreads sound over a wider range to create shimmering color.

There is helpful information and detailed close-up photos on the Hammerax website to help drummers and percussionists in making their guess. There are absolutely no purchases or costs involved. The closest guess will win. Hammerax is even paying freight on the winning shipment.

The deadline to submit a guess is April 30, 2010 and the winner will be announced on May 7th.

Hammerax has installed a hammer and metal tempering system, which has resulted in increased flexibility and richer tone. Hammerax also recently expanded the Whipcrash line to include 18", 21", and 24". Whipcrash cymbals feature arrays of micro cups to allow raking and one-handed rolls. The 24" Whipcrash Ultra has 36 micro cups and thousands of hammer dents...but just how many dents? That is the question.

Detailed rules are on the Hammerax website:
