Hayes Software Systems Announces Hire of Chief Financial Officer
AUSTIN, Texas, September 10, 2019 (Newswire.com) - Hayes Software Systems, the leader in K-12 asset management, announced the hire of Kristen Broome as Chief Financial Officer. As the company’s first Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Kristen will be responsible for all of the company’s financial functions including accounting, audit, treasury, corporate finance and investor relations, and human resources activities. Her career spans more than 19 years of varied experience in accounting and finance, business leadership and corporate strategy.
Before joining Hayes Software Systems in August 2019, Kristen served as CFO for PostUp Digital, a private equity-backed SaaS-based email marketing and CAN-SPAM compliance technology company. Prior to that, she served as Assistant Controller for PulsePoint, a privately held digital media and advertising technology company. Kristen earned a Master of Accounting and a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting from St. Edward’s University in Austin.
“I love to feel a part of something that impacts people’s lives. I thrive on challenge and collaboration, and I’m really happy to join this amazing team. There is an energy at Hayes that I match really well with,” says Kristen. “It’s a natural and organic culture and I’m excited to step into a role that supports both the employees at Hayes and also our customers.”
Broome joins Hayes at a time of rapid growth for the company. Hayes Software Systems has grown to work with 8,000 schools, including 35 of the largest school districts in the US. Hayes has added multiple software modules to its product suite and is now partnered with some of the largest resellers in the education vertical.
“Adding the CFO position was the next natural step to meet the growing needs of Hayes Software Systems. This individual had to be the right fit for both our organization and for our customers,” says Matt Winebright, CEO and President of Hayes Software Systems. “I searched for someone with the ability to guide complex finance initiatives while staying true to our core values. Kristen brings the right passion, energy, and innovation to the leadership team, helping Hayes continue to provide the best possible experience for our customers.”
