Heal Yourself! New Trend in Energy Medicine - Pranic Healing

In comparison to many other healing techniques, pranic healing is a non-touch modality and works with the inner and outer aura of a person. Learning pranic healing is as easy as learning to drive.

Pranic Healing is one of the many energy healing modalities that are available throughout the modern world. It is a non-touch modality, unlike the energy healing of Reiki which tends to have a more 'hands-on' technique. Instead, Pranic Healing works with the inner aura and the outer aura as well as with the health rays contained within the health aura. "Master Choa Kok Sui (MCKS), a Filipino-Chinese spiritual teacher, was the Founder of Pranic Healing", explains Liz McCaughey from Kumara Meditation & Healing Centre in Perth, Western Australia. "The techniques that he developed are very simple and the great advantage about pranic healing is that it is very easy to learn. On completion of only the basic course, a person can use the techniques to effect a change in their life, as well as in those around them!"

But, what is Pranic Healing and why is it so different from other healing modalities? Pranic healing uses Prana, one of the seven principles of man, to balance, harmonize and transform the body's energy processes. Prana is a Sanskrit word that means life-force and, in Theosophical teachings, is referred to as the 3rd of the Principles that makes up a person's 'persona'. This invisible life-force or vital energy keeps the body alive and maintains a state of good health.

As with many deeper teachings, the secrets of this healing modality were, in the past, revealed to only a select few. Nowadays, thanks to the teachings of MCKS, anyone can practice Pranic Healing. "It is amazing how the knowledge of being able to deal with simple ailments can change a person's views on how they live their life", says Liz.

MCKS based his teachings on the fundamental principle that the body is a self-repairing entity that possesses the innate ability to heal itself. Pranic Healing works on the principle that the healing process is accelerated by increasing the life force or vital energy on the affected part of the physical body.
This special healing method is applied to the aura, or energy body, which is the etheric double, mould or blueprint that surrounds and interpenetrates every person's physical body. This etheric double/energy body absorbs the prana/life energy and distributes it throughout the physical body, to all the organs, muscles, blood etc. First, it works with the energy body - as it is believed that physical ailments manifest first in the energy body before becoming symptomatic in the physical body. So, by working with the 'energy/thought form' that may cause the ailment - the pranic healer is working with the 'cause' of the ailment before it becomes an 'effect' in your life.

"I do encourage everybody to give it a try", says Liz. "It is easy to do and you can quickly learn to perform Pranic Healing on yourself and your loved ones by attending a Pranic Healing workshop."

If you want to learn more about this amazing healing modality, you can attend the Kumara weekly Pranic Healing Clinics that are open to the public and which are held 3-times per week. Kumara has direct licensing from the Institute for Inner Studies, Manila - Pranic Healing Headquarters - to teach all but the highest courses which are facilitated only by visiting International Teachers.
