Healthcare Stalwarts Attend Colloquium on Healthcare Administration Organized by INLEAD

A colloquium titled"Healthcare Administrator - The New Age Influencer" was organized at INLEAD campus in Gurgaon. Colloquium saw a very lively discussion on the direction and end-goal of healthcare administration, the crucial balancing role it plays.

INLEAD, The Indian Institute of Learning & Advanced Development, a leading Institute for management studies organised a Colloquium titled, "Healthcare Administrator- The New Age Influencer".

The Colloquium which took place in INLEAD campus witnessed the presence of eminent leaders from healthcare industry with Dr. Dilpreet Brar [Regional Director-Fortis Memorial Research Institute] as the Chief Guest and Dr. Narottam Puri [Medical Advisor- Fortis Healthcare and Chairman NABH] as the Guest of Honor.

The colloquium saw participation and representation of decision and policy makers from the leading hospitals of Delhi- NCR such as Max Healthcare, Paras Hospitals, Columbia Asia, Nova Healthcare, Dr. B.L. Kapoor Hospital and Rockland Hospitals to name a few.

Colloquium saw a very lively discussion on the direction and end-goal of healthcare administration, the crucial balancing role it plays between financial compulsions of private healthcare and compassionate delivery of healthcare. While Dr. Sumit Prasad, GM, Columbia Asia emphasized that 50% of customer satisfaction is dependent of non-clinical factors which can achieved only through efficient administration, Dr. Kawaljeet Singh, Facility Director at Fortis Flt. Lt. Rajan Dhall enlisted the reason for rise in the cost of care and concluded the important role of Healthcare Administrators in controlling the same.

Mr. Mehernosh B. Dittia, VP - Talent acquisition at Max Healthcare shared that how modern healthcare in India is increasingly becoming service driven. Dr. Kapil Garg, Director, Paras hospital concurred and stressed upon the need for skilled manpower to compliment the expansion in the industry with hospitals needing more than 3 to 5 employees per bed.

Highlight of the colloquium was the panel discussion moderated by Dr. Narottam Puri, Medical Advisor, Fortis Healthcare & Chairman, NABH. The eminent panellist deliberated upon expectations from the healthcare administrators from the medical and non-medical perspective.

Dr. Dilpreet Brar, Regional Director, Fortis Memorial Research Institute said "There has been a paradigm shift in healthcare industry and professional training before entering the deep side of the pool is very essential. Healthcare industry has an enormous requirement for trained workforce.
