Heineken UK Selects Wardour For Launch Of New Customer Magazine

Heineken has launched a new publication aimed at the UK on-trade, called 'First Orders'.

Heineken UK, the country's leading producer of beer and cider, is to launch a new publication aimed specifically at the UK on-trade sector. First Orders, a magazine designed, written and produced by award-winning editorial content agency Wardour, will focus on advisory content for independent licensees, owners and pub and club managers.

First Orders will be distributed nationwide and published bi-monthly with four bespoke versions tailored for specific areas of the on-trade market, including high street venues, eating and sleeping establishments, leisure and entertainment outlets, and community venues. Articles will provide advice on business-building topics, ranging from the provision of wi-fi services for consumers to local environmental issues, by highlighting case studies and examples of best practice.

Heineken UK's on-trade customer communication strategy will also include the production of an offers-based supplement, which will be distributed on alternate months to 13,000 First Orders recipients, Advertising opportunities will also be available in the magazine for partners who want to target the UK independent on-trade.

Karen Kersey, Channel Activation Manager - On Trade at Heineken UK said: "Wardour are helping to transform the way we communicate with our customers. The biggest challenge we set was to get the tone of the communication right - not to dictate but to inform and engage. Wardour have delivered against this objective and have demonstrated a clear understanding of the vital need to balance Heineken UK's beer and cider brand agenda and help independent licensees to work more effectively in these challenging times."
