Hello-Global.com Adds New Service To Highlight Japanese Consumer Trends
Online, February 23, 2010 (Newswire.com) - February 23rd 2010,
Hello- Global.com, a leading Japanese business development and marketing research company, is expanding its services in order to further support their global-minded clients around the world.
The new service can be found in the Japan Market Insight section on their homepage. It focuses on questionnaire surveys, using their consumer trend databank, to give current tendencies and consumption behaviors of Japanese consumers on various products and services, ranging from shoes, jeans, to hair salon services. Hello-Global.com hopes to provide both existing and potential clients with market information to support their business development in Japan and beyond.
One of the surveys focused on consumer behaviors and preferences in usage of convenience stores. The survey was taken on both Japanese men and women (50 in total) equally segregated between age and gender. Questions ranged from which convenience they visit the most to how many times they visit the convenience store(s).
Interestingly, the most popular convenience store was the world's number one convenience store, Seven-Eleven (46.3%), leaving the 2nd in the rank, Lawson (Japanese convenience store) way behind at 17%. Some of the free answers revealed that the reason why Seven-Eleven was preferred over the other were "They carry better tasting food and snacks", "You can find the store anywhere", etc.
With regards to the most frequently purchased item at the convenience stores, the no. 1 item turned out to be "Bread" with 72.0%, followed by "Lunch in lunchboxes" with 69.7% and "Confectionery" with 63.3%. The top three are all food items.
Hello-Global.com will be making future additions to these surveys over the course of the coming months. For this and more consumer trend data, view the link below
