Help Garden Of England Growing

Garden of England - Handmade in Kent runs a crowdfunding project on Indiegogo.com

From beginning of January until forth of February 2013 Garden of England Jewellery ltd. runs a funding project for training young people on their own business.

Young people between 16 and 25 years are most of the time seen as young apprentice or students. It takes a long time until they are allowed to have their own responsibilities and make their own way.

Garden of England Jewellery started a stall in November 2012 in Hythe, Kent to change that. A young store manager who hasn't worked on his own before was willing to learn how to create a product, present it in a nice way, thought about the pricing and finally was given advice in how to work in marketing and PR. All this with the goal of becoming a self confident business person that is able to start a career as her own boss.

On indiegogo.com the founders of Garden of England Jewellery ltd, Clara and David Sander, started a crowd funding project to keep the stall running. David is an airline pilot who has always been interested in innovative new ways in business and Clara, running her own PR-company before becoming a full time mother and fashion jewellery designer, wanted to give young people an opportunity to develop their skills without any fear of stumbeling.

As both of them don't get any money out of it, the Sander family thought about ways of raising money to keep the stall and their first store manager Kirsty, 22 years old. Kirsty learnt how to make jewellery from scratch, helped setting up the stall, layed out the handmade products beautifully. She served the customers, managed the financial income and came up with the idea of a workshop, especially designed for children. Kirsty has always worked with children and is now giving on her passion for arts and crafts to children every Sunday.
