Henderson Brothers, based in Pittsburgh, Pa., is one of Western Pennsylvania's largest providers of insurance, risk management and employee benefits advisory services.
Melissa Whittier joins as an account analyst, providing day-to-day servicing for the firm's large commercial accounts, as well as assisting clients with writing a variety of commercial bonds - from bid bonds, payment and performance bonds, to contractor license bonds and notary bonds. Prior to joining Henderson, her experience includes six years at Taggart & Associates Insurance of Boulder, Colo., as a lead account manager, and before that, for Hickok & Boardman, Inc., in Burlington, one of the oldest and largest retail insurance agencies in Vermont, where she worked as an assistant SBA account manager.

Henderson Brothers has also welcomed Robert J. Hippert as a senior business associate, where he helps clients in the commercial lines division with their various business insurance needs. Katie L. Wilson joins as a senior business associate in the commercial lines division, assisting producers in the day-to-day placement of insurance coverages and management of accounts. She creates package proposals for prospects and renewals, and gathers, consolidates and analyzes competitive data. Like Hippert, she interned with Henderson Brothers prior to joining the staff, also gaining experience as a marketing intern with Campos, Inc., and as a communications intern with Federated Investors, both in Pittsburgh. A Pittsburgh native, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and Public Relations from Duquesne University.
