Hentsch and Muller Launches Idea Room Service For Stock, Option, Futures and Forex
Hentsch and Muller has launched a new social networking service for online traders that allows short-term investors to post online stock trading strategies, option trading strategies, and forex trading strategies.
Online, October 16, 2009 (Newswire.com) - Hentsch and Muller has launched a new social networking service for online traders that allows short-term investors to post online stock trading strategies, option trading strategies, and forex trading strategies and vote on strategies submitted by other members. The new section of the website called "Idea Room" is the first social networking service for traders of all types of markets.
"Traders learn the most about how to approach the markets from their fellow market enthusiasts and Idea Room gives them the opportunity to discuss their strategies and get feedback before they try them with actual dollars," said Walter Hentsch, CEO of Hentsch and Muller. "Traders can also see how many other traders agree with their strategy and see how other traders might add to or change the strategy to improve its chance of success."
Traders can also vote on each trading idea or strategy posted by "buying" or "selling" that idea. Ideas that are "bought" more often float to the top. Ideas that have frequent comments or other member activity are listed on the "Most Active Ideas" board so that traders can see which strategies are getting the most attention.
Trading from home can be a lonely business without the ability to get feedback from others who are also trading for a living or trading part-time. The Idea Room allows those using direct access trading accounts and web-based online trading accounts to get nearly instant feedback on the technical analysis strategies and ideas they have from traders who have more experience or who have even tried the specific idea they are proposing in the past.
Members of the Idea Room, which is free to join, can also designate other traders as "friends" and be alerted when their network of friends post new ideas or comments on other strategies. The Idea Room uses a variety of RSS feeds to allow members to subscribe to all new strategies or just a "friend's" strategies and get those ideas delivered to them automatically in a newsreader or personalized page such as iGoogle, MyYahoo or MyAOL.
"One popular feature has been the ability to upload a photo of a trader's computer setup. Traders love to see the computer equipment and multi-monitor configuration other traders are using," said Walter Hentsch. "It's a bit like a car club in that sense. Traders love to see what hardware and software other people are using to trade the markets each day." The trading setup can be found on each member's public profile page.
