HERNON Manufacturing Unveils Latest Technology In Ammunition Encapsulation & Exo-Environmental Sealing Equipment
Single machine can seal, inspect, and UV cure pistol, rifle, and blank ammunition cartridges.
Online, December 30, 2010 (Newswire.com) - HERNON Manufacturing, the innovator in ammunition sealing technologies has shipped the second of its newly designed environmental sealing and UV curing machines for small caliber ammunition. The Auto Sealer 5000, custom built to meet the assembly line specifications for a leading ammunitions manufacturer in the United States, will be placed in use in early 2011.
HERNON's new Auto Sealer 5000 series of machines are capable of sealing various calibers of assembled pistol, rifle, and blank ammunition on a single machine by simply changing out the particular conveyor belt - a process that can be completed in 15 minutes or less of downtime. HERNON's machines are capable of simultaneously applying projectile and primer sealant, vision systems inspections, and UV curing at speeds in excess of 200 rounds per minute.
"We work closely with our customers to identify the unique needs and constraints of their ammunition production process to develop and manufacture custom dispensing and curing systems," explains Harry Arnon, President of HERNON Manufacturing. "Our mission is to develop high quality products and equipment that will reduce production costs and time, while increasing the accuracy and quality of the finished products. With over 32 years of ammunition sealing experience, we have the expertise and resources to continuously advance the sealing technologies for this competitive and accuracy driven industry."
In addition to custom and standard dispensing and curing equipment, HERNON Manufacturing produces and distributes an extensive line of ammunition sealants for military and commercial use. HERNON produces eight Mil-Spec qualified sealants and is an ISO-9001: 2008 registered company.
