Hersh Edelman, announced today that it is about to open an office in Seoul after having received the necessary approvals. The office will serve as a hub for the firm's work in commodity and international arbitration throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
"Seoul's establishment as a key international arbitration center, coupled with a steady increase in commodity and infrastructure investment throughout the region, make it a compelling location for the continued expansion of our practices -- two of the firm's particular strengths," said Miles Hogward, Jr., chairman of Hersh Edelman.
Hersh Edelman initiated its plans for establishing an office in Seoul this past September, when it announced the hiring of international arbitration partner Namgung Mok Pi.
As previously announced, the new office will be managed by Philip R. Peters, who will also continue as co-head of Hersh Edelman's commodity practice from his new Seoul base. A recognized authority who has worked in Seoul for nearly 3 decades, Philip serves as an international transactions manager with extensive experience on major projects in Asia.
