HexaBuild Provides IPv6 Training and Advisory Role to Merit Networks
PHOENIX, September 15, 2021 (Newswire.com) - Merit Network has released their much-anticipated IPv6 white paper titled "Merit's IPv6 Readiness Program - Addressing the Issue". HexaBuild helped enable Merit's IPv6 Readiness Program in two key areas: On the IPv6 program advisory board and as the provider of IPv6 training and consulting services to Merit for their member organizations.
HexaBuild's IPv6 experts provided hands-on IPv6 training for member organization staff at the Merit office location. Training focused on core IPv6 skills around networking, helpdesk, systems, and address planning. Scott Hogg, Ed Horley and Tom Coffeen were all training instructors for the Merit IPv6 Readiness Program. Scott Hogg, HexaBuild's CTO, provided advice and guidance on IPv6 adoption along with best practice content to help Merit members prepare and plan for IPv6 adoption within their organizations. Scott's participation in the advisory role was critical in helping Merit design their overall program, given his extensive industry experience designing and deploying IPv6.
Merit Network members were able to take the Merit provided training and then prepare for their IPv6 deployment projects. Every major institution that Merit serves was able to access best-in-class IPv6 experts and begin their IPv6 journey. HexaBuild continues to collaborate with Merit members through Slack, email and the Merit marketplace. HexaBuild provided outstanding IPv6 training. "When the program began in January 2019, after a long period of researching training programs throughout the world, it was clear that there was no match to the offerings and quality of HexaBuild's classes. Scott Hogg, Ed Horley, and Tom Coffeen, all authors of well-known textbooks on IPv6, delivered exceptional training," said Lola Killey, Merit Networks Infrastructure & Research Support Analyst.
