High Power Multi-port Exigo USB Charger Kickstarter Released

Apparently Connected launches the Exigo - an innovative new universal USB charger - on Kickstarter. The Exigo offers 4 ports of high speed charging, universal compatibility and detailed live information on a graphical OLED display

USB charging is becoming ubiquitous yet there is a lack of fully universal charging solutions.  According to one of Apparently Connected’s founders, Patrick Marcus, not all USB chargers are the same.  In fact, the wrong charger can have a significant detrimental impact on a phone or tablet’s charging speed.

The Exigo is a 4 port 3.0A per port universal USB charger.  According to Apparently Connected the Exigo USB Charger provides 70% (on average) improved charging speed over most chargers and up to 25% better performance over OEM chargers that come with mobile devices.

“USB charging is actually governed by many standards.  Apple, Samsung, and the USB consortium all support different power levels and have established incompatible methods of charger identification”. Said Nathan Crum, one of Apparently Connected’s founders.  “The Exigo seamlessly negotiates and provides the correct identification to enable maximum charge rate for all devices.”

The Exigo USB charger is a culmination of nearly 2 years of development and research addressing the needs of the consumer and the complexity of multiple device standards.  A high power, information rich user interface, and high quality anodized aluminum chassis highlight the Exigo USB Charger.  “We wanted to build an exceptional charger that was the best of the best… Something people would be proud to have on their desk rather than under it” said Marcus.

The Exigo USB charger launched on Kickstarter Tuesday Aug 19, 2015 and is already drawing substantial interest from consumers in the initial hours of the campaign.
