Highlands Oncology Group Celebrates Milestone

Rogers, AR, June 3, 2016 (Newswire.com) - Highlands Oncology Group (Highlands), Northwest Arkansas’ leading cancer treatment center, with locations in Rogers and Fayetteville, will celebrate 20 years of existence on June 3.

In 1996, Dr. J. Thaddeus Beck, Dr. Daniel S. Bradford and Dr. Malcolm L. Hayward formed Highlands Oncology Group to bring specialized care in medical oncology and hematology to cancer patients in Northwest Arkansas.

Highlands now consists of nine medical oncologists, three radiation oncologists, a gynecological oncologist, a colon and rectal surgeon and a part-time palliative care physician. Highlands has more than 250 full-time and part-time employees and utilizes a total of five facilities.

As Highlands has grown, so have their patient services. Some of which include: nutrition and weight management classes, yoga, qigong, lymphedema management, massage, physical and occupational therapies, The Center for Chest Care, a free lung cancer screening program and more.
