The engines come with a High Precision Direct Injection system, which ensures fuel is delivered precisely to the ignition point.

The luxurious interior is enhanced with dramatic wood trim accent pieces and Nappa leather seats. Also in the interior are many technological conveniences, such as, programmable memory keys, in-dash CD controls, the Black Panel LCD screen, center console shift lever, and the iDrive system. The interior features are also designed to keep the driver focused on driving. All driving-related functions are placed to the left of the steering wheel and all comfort and convenience features are placed to the right, with the center console angled towards the driver.

The safety features in the BMW 7 Series are enhanced to provide a safer driving experience for all. Some of these features include Adaptive Brake Lights, which get more intense the harder the driver brakes. Also, Active Headrests help in avoiding whiplash injuries by moving forward in the event of a collision. The Dynamic Stability Control functions include a brake-drying feature in the rain, Start Off Assistance which prevents vehicle rolling, and Brake Standby prepares the brakes for emergency stopping when the accelerator is quickly depressed.
