Hines Park Lincoln Offers Drivers Smart Technology With Current Lineup

With technologically-advanced models like the 2013 MKS and MKZ sedans, Hines Park Lincoln gives drivers what they want.

Most consumers know Lincoln best for their luxury. Others know that Lincoln cars are also comfortable, sporty, and offer a smooth ride. However many may not know about some of the extremely innovative technologies that is currently being offered by the Detroit-based manufacturer. Hines Park Lincoln of Plymouth Michigan, currently stocks all available Lincoln models and many have been equipped with advancements in technology to make a driver's commute more enjoyable and convenient.

The recently released 2013 Lincoln MKS comes with a slew of features which are designed to make your car your cohort. In addition to the SYNC® with MyLincoln Touch™ infotainment system, the MKS also boasts Lincoln Drive Control with CCD. CCD or continuously controlled damping makes driving an MKS extremely comfy thanks to a suite of sensors that monitors the car's every movement up to 50 times a second. To power the MKS, Lincoln has given customers the option of an EcoBoost V8 turbo-charged direct-injection engine that can generate 365 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque while still maintaining 17 mpg city and 25 mpg on the highway.

Lincoln drivers can have peace of mind thanks to technologies such as adaptive cruise control and collision warning with brake support. Adaptive cruise control allows the driver to maintain a certain speed without using the accelerator. The system uses radar to maintain the present distance from the vehicle in front of it without any manual braking. Collision warning uses the same radar to detect vehicles ahead. When an imminent accident is detected, the system alerts the driver with visual and audio cues. If no action is taken by the driver, the system will pre-charge the brakes and engage electronic brake assist to help driver stop more quickly.

Another technology that can help drivers and passengers feel safe while riding in a Lincoln is the Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) with cross-traffic alert. BLIS uses sensors to detect when vehicles are in a driver's blind spot, and notifies the driver through a warning light on the corresponding sideview mirror. These same sensors will detect impending traffic and warn the driver when slowly backing up.

Adaptive cruise control and collision warning with brake support is available on the 2012 Lincoln MKT EcoBoost. BLIS with cross-traffic alert is optional on the 2012 Lincoln MKZ and 2012 Lincoln MKT EcoBoost, all of which are currently on sale at Hines Park Lincoln.
