Hip Hop Artist AZitiZ Has Been Submitted For NAACP Image Award On The Brink Of Her South Africa Tour

International Hip Hop Artist AZitiZ is counting her blessings these days, among them, being submitted for a nomination to receive the Outstanding Female Artist Award at the 43rd Annual NAACP Image Awards.

AZitiZ, the name, derived from the subtitle of the ancient Sanskrit classic, "Bhagavad Gita As It Is"meaning, "the unadulterated truth," is a master lyricist enunciating musical notes that float out as a stream of pedagogy. Her immaculate grind and true passion for music has helped to position her as the new breed of conscious artists, globally.

AZitiZ aka Lalita Garrett just recently arrived back to the States from Poland, promoting her new single, "City of Love," and her new conscious music tour, Explore South Africa, she is definitely humbled by her good fortune.

This is the first time the hip hop artist is in contention for a NAACP Image Award and if she wins, the rising star will be among the small few, out of New Orleans, Louisiana to receive such an honor.

Inspired by Queen Latifah, Lauryn Hill, Erykah Badu & Missy Elliot, AZitiZ has found her niche and is ready to resurrect the genre. Advocating against the ever growing trend of negativity in Hip hop, holding steadfast to positive beliefs and ideals.

The "City of Love" performer is definitely what hip hop needs...
