Hip Hop Artist Sean Sack To Headline Maxwell's In Hoboken August 10

Up-and-coming musician Sean Sack releases new single Boy Meets Girl in anticipation of August 10 performance at Maxwell's in Hoboken

New Jersey's own aspiring hip hop artist Sean Sack announces he will be headlining the famous Maxwell's in Hoboken August 10. The 22-year-old musician recently debuted his single Boy Meets Girl, one of 10 songs that are part of his new album, Whiskey Dreams.

Having played with several bands and performing at various venues-including the acclaimed Stone Pony--throughout his young career, Sean found himself entertaining the crowd at the renowned Bamboozle music festival in 2009.

"It means a great deal to me to see the progress I've made artistically," said Sean. "I feel better about where my career is going now than I ever have; it goes to show how far you can take a dream when you're constantly pushing yourself."

Sean discovered his niche for writing and recording hip hop music as a teenager, and having a heavy background in creative writing, he used his talents to write all his original lyrics. But rather than simply piggy backing off other rappers and following the latest trends, Sean's music tells his own story in his own voice.

What separates the young musician from others in his trade is his originality. Sean has created a style of his own which incorporates his personal experience coupled with his passion for making music. For Sean it's not only about putting out the music he wants to write and record, but also about understanding what the public wants to hear, and bringing it to them.

"Not having your own sound is like, Michael Jordan with no jump shot," Sean said. "Originality is the only thing differentiating you, from the next guy. Everybody has a story; I just think everyone should know mine."

Since becoming determined to complete his first full length album, Sean has caught the attention of music industry icons-Abe Fogle-Rob Thomas' drummer, Steve Mostyn-Alicia Keys' bass player, and Onree Gill-Music Director who has worked with Jay-Z, Beyonce, Prince and John Mayer-who have all leant their talents for Whiskey Dreams.

For over a year Sean has been working to perfect each song for Whiskey Dreams, and on August 10 he and his band will be sharing it with the public for the first time as they headline Maxwell's. The doors open at 7:30 p.m. with the show beginning at 8.

"For the first show doing the new album, headlining Maxwell's is crazy," said Sean. "I always bring the energy; I just hope the crowed can keep up. It's a completely new sound and visual everyone is going to see, It's time to put the pen and pad down for a second and get back to the stage."
