Historic Pictoric's 2016 Calendars Showcase 36 Regions Across the US
Historic Pictoric announces its 2016 Historic Calendar Series, featuring digitally restored historical photographs of 36 communities in the US
Buffalo, NY, November 2, 2015 (Newswire.com) - Historic Pictoric, a brand that specializes in restored historic images, announces the publication of its 2016 Historic Calendar Series: http://www.historicpictoric.com/2016-historic-calendars.html
Each black-and-white wall calendar features thoughtfully chosen historic photographs of a major U.S. city or region. These photographs have been curated from a myriad of regional sources ranging from local libraries, historical societies and city archives to universities, individual collectors and the brand's own extensive private collection. Working closely with iconic institutions, such as the Library of Congress, Smithsonian Institution and the National Archives, Historic Pictoric then applies its proprietary digital restoration process to the photographs, creating images from the turn of the 20th century that have the crispness of a photograph taken today. New this year are expanded descriptions for the images, contextualizing each photograph from the late 1800s to early 1900s with relevant architectural, economic and cultural details.
Also debuting this year are two new regional titles: Florida Shores and Long Island. Returning regional titles include: Connecticut, Jersey Shore, New Hampshire, Vermont and Brooklyn. Returning city titles include Buffalo; Niagara Falls; Rochester; Syracuse; Baltimore; Boston; Charleston, South Carolina; Chicago; Cincinnati; Cleveland; Dallas; Denver; Detroit; Kansas City, Missouri; Los Angeles; Milwaukee; Minneapolis; New Orleans; New York City; Philadelphia; Pittsburgh; Portland, Oregon; Providence, Rhode Island; Richmond, Virginia; San Francisco; Savannah, Georgia; Seattle; St. Louis; and Washington.
All 36 titles of the 2016 Historic Calendar Series are currently available for purchase on the Historic Pictoric, Amazon and Barnes & Noble websites, as well as at select Bed Bath & Beyond stores. Wholesalers and stores interested in ordering should contact [email protected].
