HIV Law Project Honored with NGLCCNY Social Enterprise Award.

Online, March 26, 2012 (Newswire.com) - NGLCCNY's Social Impact Industry Council presented its First Annual Social Enterprise Award to HIV Law Project on Saturday, March 17. HIV Law Project Executive Director Tracy Welsh received the Award from NGLCCNY President Richard Oceguera in a ceremony at the Nineteenth Original GLBT Expo in New York. NGLCCNY is positioning itself as a leader among companies making a social impact. HIV Law Project is a pioneer in developing and utilizing cutting edge business models to deliver social change.

In the wake of the recent financial collapse, many companies aiming to make a social impact are interested in creating new, highly collaborative business models to reduce cross-organizational redundancy. Both non-profits and for-profit companies are working toward this new approach. NGLCCNY's Social Enterprise Award acknowledges HIV Law Project for operating at the leading edge of this new model, even as it is being invented.
