HMS Renews Its Microsoft Certification For A 7th Consecutive Year
Publishers of TimeControl extend their long standing relationship with Microsoft
Online, May 13, 2011 (Newswire.com) - HMS Software, the publisher of the popular timesheet system TimeControl has announced that they have renewed their Microsoft Certification for a 7th consecutive year. HMS has had a relationship with the Redmond-based software giant since 1995 and has maintained a continuous certification level with Microsoft since 2004.
As a world-renowned specialist in enterprise timesheet and enterprise project management systems, HMS has worked with Microsoft's Project team since the early 90s and created a link from HMS Software's TimeControl and Microsoft Project in 1995. HMS is one of the longest standing Microsoft Project Partners in the world. TimeControl was one of the first external systems to deliver a link to Microsoft's Project Server when it was first released in 2002.
"Many of our clients use Microsoft Project or Project Server," says Stephen Eyton-Jones, Director of Technical Services at HMS. "It's important for us to be ahead of the curve with new developments on the product and its supporting technology to ensure that we deliver the best link possible from our timesheet system."
While HMS has relationships with several technology companies such as Oracle and Deltek, the ties between HMS and Microsoft run deep.
"Our relationship with Microsoft is at many levels," says Chris Vandersluis, President of HMS. "Our product is built to support many of Microsoft's technological architecture including SQL Server, .Net and SharePoint. Our personnel are trained and certified in Microsoft's technology and we have numerous relationships between our staff and Microsoft's at the operational, technical and strategic levels."
The renewal of this long standing partnership underlines the collaboration that is required to deliver enterprise-quality applications to the market. Software publishers like HMS create enterprise applications like the TimeControl timesheet system that must that must work across numerous technological platforms, connect with multiple applications and yet be simple and accessible to the end user.
"Strategic and operational alliances such as these are essential in the background so end users can enjoy simple usage in the foreground," explains Vandersluis. "This is what has people like myself work on Advisory Boards with partners like Microsoft and why our staff are in ongoing training with technology from our partners."
Moving into the 8th year of continuous certification and the 17th year of continuous partnership, the link between HMS and Microsoft and the benefits for their joint customers seems to have no end in sight.
