Hobbyglass.com is now producing the strawberry prunt stamp for glassblowers. The strawberry prunt stamp is a cast bronze artisan tool for glassblowers designed and produced in California.
Online, May 8, 2010 (Newswire.com) - Scott Hegan, the owner of Hobbyglass, has expanded the line of cast bronze prunt stamps. Now available is the strawberry stamp.
The line of prunt stamps from hobbyglass now includes the lions head, the raspberry and the new strawberry. They are available from purchase directly from the studio.
The prunt is a decorative element of handmade glass. It is often seen on Venetian work and German roemers, though examples are observable on objects across historical periods and geographic regions. It is commonly accepted that the prunt on vessels serves two functions. The decorative function of the prunt is obvious. In addition it also serves a mechanical function, making the grip on the vessel more secure when in use.
Hobbyglass.com, a division of Hegan Glassworks, Inc., produces tools and supplies for the hot glass artist. The studio is located in Northern California. For more information, log onto www.hobbyglass.com, call the studio at 707-462-5191, or email [email protected]
