Holiday Classic Gets A 21st Century Makeover

Online, November 20, 2011 (Newswire.com) - James Follette is a 25-old soul singer from London with a love of all things retro! His references range from Amy Winehouse to Gladys Knight, Prince to Otis Redding. He loves all the old styles but always with a new twist - something fresh!

He met Victoria Wilson James from Soul II Soul who took him under her wing, introduced his music to legendary manager Davett Singletary (Usher, Cee-Lo Green, Outkast et.al) who helped guide and facilitate the writing, recording and ultimate conception of an album all his own. It's due for release next year to coincide with the launch of new music technology MusicROVR.

In the meantime though, he's had some fun with his version of Christmas classic 'Santa Baby' - twisting up the lyrics and throwing in some 21st Century references. It's proven really popular already with it being picked up by the biggest chain of shopping malls in America and appearing on a number of platinum FM radio play-lists.

James just loves Christmas and it seems as if he's not alone! So much so, his new spin on the timeless classic, which he's called 'Santa Brother', is out now on worldwide digital release through Basquiat Beats, in prelude to the release of his album 'The Adventures of Melvin P. Jackson' in the second quarter of the 2012.

And the success Stateside looks set to repeat itself on British shores with the Holiday song being play-listed in top retail stores, luxury hotels and leading gyms nationwide plus front page pride of place on iTunes, Amazon and eMusic!

All forthcoming releases are leading up to his return booking at the legendary Jazz Cafe in London and a slot at South by South West in Austin, Texas.
