Hollister Construction Services Completes Construction Of New Pharmacy School At Fairleigh Dickinson University
Leading Construction Firm Will Also Manage Advanced Audio and Visual System
Online, October 8, 2012 (Newswire.com) - Hollister Construction Services, a leading full-service general contractor and construction manager specializing in corporate, educational, healthcare, industrial and retail construction, has completed construction of Fairleigh Dickinson University's School of Pharmacy in Florham Park, N.J. A ribbon cutting ceremony for the new school, held on September 19, was attended by the University community and FDU alumnus Richard Codey, former governor of New Jersey.
Hollister's interior fit-out involved the transformation of existing office space at 230 Park Avenue into a series of classroom, laboratory, meeting and office spaces. Additionally, the work included the installation of an advanced audio and visual package that will be managed by Hollister. Project Manager Douglas Deptula led the Hollister team overseeing the fit-out of the 21,109-square-foot facility, which was designed by RSC Architects.
"Hollister has previously completed numerous assignments for FDU, including classroom, office and auditorium renovations, and we were pleased to work on this pharmacy school project," stated Hollister CEO Chris Johnson. "We look forward to working with FDU on additional projects as the New Jersey institution continues to expand."
More than 80 students are now enrolled in FDU's School of Pharmacy, New Jersey's first pharmacy school associated with a private university. The inaugural class is comprised of students from four countries and 14 states, plus the District of Columbia. Approximately 600 students applied to the program, which is offering multiple master's degree options with a variety of classroom, lab and experiential opportunities.
