“Through the innovative vision of SSCAC founders and the tenacious dedication of the young Margaret Burroughs, who co-founded SSCAC 20 years prior to co-founding DuSable Museum, we have been entrusted with the legacy and stewardship of the South Side Community Art Center,” stated Executive Director Masequa Myers. The silent art auction has been expanded this year to include artifacts, arts, and cultural experiences.  The highly anticipated live auction will offer a select number of high profile pieces of art.  Bidders will be able to see a live auction art online prior to the event. “We want to ensure everyone has an advance opportunity to see the exciting offerings of the auction so they may come prepared to place winning bids. The SSCAC welcomes Celebrity Artists to ‘come out’ and/or offer a piece of art to be auctioned.”  said Anita Muhammad, SSCAC Development Director. The public is encouraged to support this extraordinary Chicago Landmark’s fundraiser.
