Home For Atlanta's Homeless Pregnant Women Population Slated To Open In July
Marietta, June 25, 2015 (Newswire.com) - Sheltering Grace Ministry, a Georgia 501 c(3) organization serving the needs of homeless pregnant women, was recently gifted with a 10,000 sq. ft., 16 bedroom, 10 bathroom property in East Point, GA by the Archdiocese of Atlanta.
After upgrading the heating and air conditioning and the commercial kitchen; painting, landscaping, and acquiring the proper zoning certificates, the center is almost ready for occupancy. Several groups from local organizations and churches have volunteered to prepare the rooms for the women.
With the opening of this center coming up quickly, Sheltering Grace continues to seek community support to ensure success. Your support is needed to allow the center to open so more women may be served.
Sheltering Grace Ministry is a 501c(3) based in Marietta, Georgia that serves the needs of homeless pregnant women in the metro Atlanta area and throughout the Southeast. The organization provides temporary shelter, spiritual and life counseling, educational programs, transportation to and from appointments for the women in the program who are serious about making changes in their lives.
Sheltering Grace Ministry has seen the healthy birth of dozens of healthy babies and the success of many of its former clients. It has grown from a single housing unit in Cobb County, GA, serving 3 women to 3 units including the newest East Point property graciously gifted to the organization by the Archdiocese of Atlanta.
The organization is expanding its program through a partnership with Kennesaw State University to offer qualified participants the opportunities to enroll in a professional certificate program that should permit them to gain full employment at a livable wage.
The ministry needs your help to fund the increased expenses connected with this new maternity home.
Thank you for your support!
