HomePro by Design Puts a New Twist on the Party Plan

Party Plan selling has been around for decades. Many of us have purchased products at these events. Now HomePro by Design has turned the selling party into an educational event all about cleaning well, cleaning safely, and cleaning economically.

SALT LAKE CITY, UT - Many, if not most people, have been to a party event at the home of a friend or relative where the purpose is to show off products of one sort or another, and give guests the opportunity to buy them. Known widely as "party-plan selling", this type of event has become a popular method of running a home-based business. Now there's a new spin on it. HomePro by Design, a Salt Lake City-based direct selling company, is rolling out a new feature called the "Fast Track Clean Event". The Clean Event is a one-hour fun and informative event in a host's home that teaches guests how to clean their home in half the time and save money on cleaning solutions while doing it.
Clean Events are fun like a party but they're also very educational. Guests go home with at least 10 new procedures for making their cleaning more efficient and even more fun. They learn professional procedures using "green" products that are safer for the environment, the user, and the surfaces being cleaned.
"It isn't enough to just go and socialize and buy products anymore," said HomePro by Design CEO Gordon Hanks. "People need to get something useful for their time; something that will help make their lives easier."
That "something" comes in the form of interesting and useful information. While organized and scheduled in a similar fashion to traditional selling party events, this new kind of event, the Clean Event, is more like attending a fun and interesting class on how to take care of your home more easily.
The term "Clean Event" stems from the fact that HomePro by Design specializes in bringing professional-grade cleaning solutions and tools safely into the home.
"While it's important to use cleaning solutions that are safer for the environment, children, and pets," said Hanks, "there isn't much point in using a cleaning solution if it doesn't WORK. This company's roots are in serving professional cleaners. We took the knowledge we have of effective chemical properties and paired it with the knowledge that many of the consumer products on the market can actually do long-term damage to the surfaces they purport to clean. From that we formulated solutions that do exactly what you need them to without harming the surfaces in a home, or its residents."
At a Clean Event, attendees usually take notes while the HomePro by Design Consultant teaches useful principles of cleaning more quickly, effectively, and safely. So regardless of what the attendee buys, she still walks away with some great cleaning secrets.
"The interesting thing about these Clean Events," Hanks said, "is that we're finding that some of the most riveted attendees are men." He theorizes that part of the reason is that men are doing more cleaning around the house these days. But Consultants are also finding that the big jobs that often fall to the man of the house often demand an "industrial-grade" cleaning product.
