Hometown Urgent Care Offers Quick and Accessible Testing Regardless of Insurance Coverage

Hometown Urgent Care, Ohio’s Largest Urgent Care, has made COVID-19 (PCR) and antibody testing accessible to people regardless of their insurance coverage. Hometown has prioritized access to testing by taking all major insurance providers and informing uninsured people of their ability to get tested under the CARES ACT. COVID-19 (PCR) tests are fully covered by all insurance or under the CARES ACT for patients experiencing symptoms or have had exposure to COVID-19. Antibody tests may require co-pay as per the patient’s insurance.

“Quick and Accessible COVID-19 testing is key to properly diagnose and treat patients while also helping to reduce anxiety among our communities and return everyone safely back to work,” said Manoj Kumar, CEO of Hometown Urgent Care. “Our clinical teams have stayed strong during this pandemic, providing access to timely healthcare during this pandemic. We appreciate them for their dedication and hard work. Now, they have begun to focus on providing much-needed access to COVID-19 testing in a safe manner to our hometown communities.”

Hometown is working closely with many county health departments to meet the COVID-19 testing needs of communities and employers. Hometown is also providing on-site COVID-19 testing to local employers. It is the largest network of COVID-19 testing sites in Ohio providing fast turn-around of test results. Because of rapid research and advancement, Hometown is able to give patients peace of mind.

Tests are available seven (7) days a week and patients do not need orders or prescriptions from a physician to be tested. Patients experiencing COVID-19 symptoms are advised to call their local Hometown Center for further instruction. All patients are greeted and provided with a mask and sanitizer as they enter the center. All patients must be seen by a Hometown provider. Hometown has taken extended measures to keep all clinics well sanitized and safe for its patients by following all CDC and state COVID-19 safety guidelines, including sanitization, social distancing and offering patients various options to skip the wait by calling-in for an appointment and waiting in their car to be seen (available at select sites). “We have a great team, and we cannot be prouder of the strength and determination they have shown during this crisis to help our communities. They have not only provided much-needed access to healthcare but have also played a role in reducing the tremendous burden on hospitals.”
