HoodiePet™ Teams Up with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Milwaukee to Encourage Creativity and Arts Education
Online, December 15, 2011 (Newswire.com) - In support of arts education, HoodiePet™, a unique new children's product, has invited one hundred children from the Boys and Girls Clubs of Milwaukee to tour the HoodiePet™ warehouse on Thursday, December 14th at 6PM to learn about the power of imagination, creativity and education. HoodiePet™ partnered with The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Milwaukee to conduct an art contest among children from its 40 locations. Club members had their choice of media to create an animal interpretation of themselves.
The field trip to the HoodiePet™ warehouse gives the children an insider's view of what it's like to design and produce a new children's product as well as be introduced to the "I.C.E. Lab." "The I.C.E. Lab is a place where imagination, creativity, and education takes place and HoodiePet™ is encouraging children to understand and embrace the power of it by allowing them to participate in a variety of creative mediums," said Alethea King of HoodiePet™. The Boys and Girls Clubs finalists will each receive their own HoodiePet™, a combination of a fleece, cuddly hoodie and a plush toy that Velcros to the front pocket of the jacket. Company officials will announce the winners of the contest at the culmination of the event.
HoodiePet™ is the brainchild of the Kempe family, of Milwaukee, and operates out of a warehouse located at 240 S. Milwaukee St. in Milwaukee, WI. It was HoodiePet™ founders, Louise and Alexander Kempe's belief in the value of children's imaginations and creativity that spurred the creation of HoodiePet™. They credit the Kempe children with coming up with the idea of HoodiePet™ and as a family they have watched HoodiePet™ grow into a business. Louise Kempe, mompreneur and HoodiePet™ CEO explains, "Since we started HoodiePet™ our children always want to create new things. They think it's so cool that they created HoodiePet™ and their parents made it happen. It is so good for children to see that with imagination, creativity and hard work you can do anything you want. We want to inspire as many children as we can to follow their dreams and imagination."
