For example, John mentioned bringing everyone into the break room for a game of poker tower. “After breaking people up into even teams, you hand each group a deck of cards and a pair of scissors. They have twenty minutes to build the highest tower possible using only those two items and their imaginations.

Another team-building activity that also works as a great icebreaker is a game called a truth and a lie. For this game, team members each introduce themselves to the group, telling both a truth and a lie about themselves.
