How Business Education Is Adapting to Globalization

Emerald and BisNet publish special issue on innovative practices in business education - available to read for free until the end of November

Globalization has been the hot topic in business education for the last few years - where cultural knowledge, proficiency to communicate and business acumen need to intersect. In the latest issue of the Journal of International Education in Business, in collaboration with the Business International Studies Network (BisNet), researchers present innovative practices in undergraduate business education, and ask how universities can take a leading role in developing the next generation of business leaders with a global mind set.

The nine articles in this special issue offer various international perspectives on innovative practices in academic programs, short-term courses abroad and innovations in student learning outcomes. In support of International Education Week this week, Emerald is providing free access to this special issue until the 30 November, to access visit

Published in collaboration with BisNet, a network of top US business schools who undertake dynamic initiatives to promote the range and quality of business-oriented study abroad, guest editor Chris Wilcox comments, "Just as in business, our field of business education is constantly changing, and constant innovation is critical for success. On behalf of BisNet we earnestly hope that this special issue extends our collective conversations about innovation in business education abroad".
