How Ski Resorts in the USA and Canada seamlessly deliver Flash video to the iPad and iPhone.

The largest provider to North American ski resorts for turn-key multimedia software now adds seamless ipad and iPhone video delivery.

Resorts Interactive announce today that their ski resort targeted video platform, MVP™, now supports video playback on the iPad and iPhone, while at the same time delivering Flash players to PC and Mac users.

Some of North America's largest ski resorts such as, Mammoth, Telluride, Sun Valley and many more rely on Resorts Interactive's MVP™ video solution to manage, display and distribute their video assets. "As we track the increasing number of iPhones, iPods & iPads accessing our website, Resorts Interactive allows us to seamlessly deliver the same video that flash enabled browsers and devices enjoy without have to modify any code", said Rob Prew, Director of Information Technologies at Sun Valley.

"This all works retro actively as well, because we have been encoding multiple video versions for different devices from day one. It just took a couple of switches to be turned on for video to work on the iPad and iPhone", says Loren Greenfield, head developer at Resorts Interactive. "The client doesn't have to re-encode and upload video again, nor is required to re-embed newly generated code into web pages. For users this provides a seamless experience between devices, and for the client they don't have to lift a finger."

Being a vendor to the ski industry brings a new set of demands and challenges that are quite unique, with resorts having other digital media needing to be displayed and promoted, such as web cams, 360º panoramas and photo slide shows. MVP™ currently has Flash based players for these media types and Resorts Interactive is soon to release the iPad and iPhone versions.
