Shop and Save Big this weekend on children's clothes, toys and gear!
Keys WeeCycle, a huge children's consignment sale, is this weekend in Islamorada September 18-19, 2010 at Holiday Isle Resort and Marina. The event will be in the Horizon Room. 6th floor, open to the public from 10am-3pm both days. The ½ price sale will begin at noon on Sunday. Keys Weecycle provides Florida Keys families the opportunity to buy the things their kids need at a fraction of retail prices and also make money on the clothes, toys and gear their children have outgrown. The event will feature thousands of new and like-new items from maternity to juniors. The four previous Keys Weecycle sales proved hugely successful with hundreds of shoppers from Miami to Key West taking advantage of over 2000 gently used and new items from more than 30 different consignors. In addition to the great deals, the sale's unique location on the top floor of Holiday Isle Resort provides shoppers with a stunningly scenic ocean view.
At Keys Weecyle we know that kids are expensive and believe their stuff doesn't have to be! In addition to clothing, bargain hunters will find Halloween costumes, toys, strollers, cribs, baby gear, furniture, books, dvd's, sports stuff and more. Brand names include Juicy Couture, Gap, Gymboree, Ralph Lauren, OshKosh, Nike, Stride Rite and Fisher Price--just to name a few.
"If you are a mother-to-be who needs to stock up, or a parent or grandparent whose house is filled to the brim with bins of clothes and toys your children have outgrown, this event is for you," said Shirley Wilson, who co-owns the business with Judy Hull. "Unlike the traditional garage sale, this event ranges over two days so that moms can shop at their convenience. Great bargains are guaranteed to be found both days, especially during our half-price sale on Sunday!"
Both Wilson and Hull know the business of motherhood, as well as how to put a motherly touch on their business endeavor. Judy Hull is a grandmother and an active buyer and seller of children's items on eBay. Shirley Wilson is a mother of a three-year-old girl and has experienced first hand the frustration of shopping for a young child, especially in the Florida Keys. As a first-time mom, Wilson quickly discovered the limited lifespan of children's essentials which ultimately prompted her to start the seasonal consignment sale.
According to Hull, a long time professional event planner, "Events like this one are becoming extremely popular around the country, and we have a huge need in the South Florida area that we believe Keys WeeCycle will address."
Not only do the consignors and shoppers benefit from Keys Weecycle but several local children's charities do as well. Unsold items that have been marked to donate will be distributed to local charities and recent disaster areas such as Haiti. Healthy Start Coalition will also be on hand to answer questions and distribute helpful parenting information.
