Huge Crowds Flock to 2012 Rochester Boat Show
Boating enthusiasts make 4-day show a major success at Riverside Convention Center
Online, February 10, 2012 (Newswire.com) - ROCHESTER, NY - Attendance was up 20%, surpassing expectations, at last weekend's 30th Annual Rochester Boat Show at the Riverside Convention Center. "Boaters were in a buying mood," said David Heimes, show manager, "and every dealer reported sales." The clement weather last weekend was a plus, he added.
Thirteen boat dealers and more than 30 small vendors teamed up to participate in the show, which was also a fundraiser for Hunter's Hope, a charity which funds research for Krabbe Disease an related Leukodystophies. Part of the proceeds from every boat sold at the show went to the charitable organization.
The four-day event offered a great way to see and compare all available makes and models in one location. Two levels of the convention center displayed boats from large to small ... millions of dollars of boating inventory all under one roof. Over 300 premier boats were on display, including sport boats, cruisers, fishing boats, pontoons, deck boats, performance boats, personal watercraft, ski boats and jet boats.
Also on hand were docks, hoists, outboard motors, canoes, kayaks, sunfish and laser boats, and all sorts of boating accessories.
In addition to the dealers' 'show-only' promotional prices, factory rebates and incentives, financing specialists were on hand to help buyers get into the boat of their dreams. Competitive prices and exclusive show specials played a big role in drawing the record crowds.
For the third year in a row, the Rochester Boat Show utilized D.P. Ball Advertising to coordinate the show, including press releases, media scheduling and production. D.P. Ball Advertising orchestrated banner ads on boating websites, a pay-per-click campaign, and redesigned the show's website, adding additional links and a complete SEO overhaul to improve the site's efficiency. Working with the Ohio-based agency enabled the dealers to save a considerable amount of money, compared to contracting with a standard show organizer.
