Hunt Club Farm Celebrates Fall With Harvest Fair
Online, October 1, 2013 (Newswire.com) - The Fall Harvest Fair features Virginia Beach's largest pumpkin patch, daytime hayrides, pony rides, inflatable amusements and all-new carnival rides - including a ferris wheel, tilt-a-whirl, Nascar speedway, train ride, teacups and kiddie airplanes. Chase a chicken, feed a goat and visit a wide variety of animals on the petting farm, and on the weekends, enjoy a DJ hosting contests with great prizes!
The Children's Harvest Fair Wristband (weekends only) is $12, and includes unlimited petting farm, daytime hayrides, moon bounces, monkey slide, castle slide and obstacle course. Other prices range from $4 to $8. The fair runs through November 1.
Hunt Club Farm is hosting several special events during the Fall Harvest Fair, and they include:
Pet-Palooza Animal Expo - October 5 and 6. On Saturday October 5, Sinclair Communications will host a Pet Costume Contest from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. and an Exotic Pet Walk from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. On Sunday October 6, Hunt Club Boarding Kennel and Cattery will offer free nail trims and grooming advice from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Pungo Vet Clinic will offer $5 rabies shots from noon to 3 p.m. Virginia Beach Animal Control will facilitate pet adoptions all weekend, and Bay Beagle Rescue will be on site.
Community Weekend - October 12 and 13. Hunt Club Farm will salute the armed forces Sunday October 13 with Military Appreciation Day, offering a discount to Harvest Fair via its Facebook page. The big fire truck will be on site for the kids from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. And anyone who donates blood during the American Red Cross blood drive - 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday - will receive one complimentary ticket to Hunt Club Farm's Halloween Festival.
Children's Halloween Party - October 20. From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Hunt Club Farm will host its annual Children's Halloween Party, where the little ones can dance the day away with a DJ in the petting farm and enjoy a farm tour hayride, unlimited use of the farm's inflatable amusements and a costume contest at 1 p.m. Cupcake and pumpkin decorating and a 3- to 5-pound pumpkin are included for each child. The cost is $15 per child and $8 per adult, and pre-paid reservations are required, as this event sells out every year.
