Husband and Wife Team Up to Help Post 9/11 War Veterans Suffering from PTSD and TBI
Online, September 21, 2009 (Newswire.com) - Mesa AZ - The Home Sweet Home Campaign is proud to announce a new partnership with Defender Pro; the #1 anti-virus software available today. Through this new partnership, Defender Pro will be helping to raise awareness and funds for the needs of all post 9/11 war veterans by donating a portion of their sales to the USA Cares, offering service member discounts and sponsoring upcoming fundraising events. This is a perfect fit for two organizations that have the same respect and honor for our war veterans.
"When we started looking for companies that truly cared about our troops and would be willing to support the cause, I did not have to look far. My husband Dan and Defender Pro immediately raised their hands when I approached them. They are going above and beyond the call of duty when it comes to supporting our troops. This is a remarkable company," stated Beth Ann VanHoose, founder of the Home Sweet Home Campaign.
Defender Pro is supporting the Home Sweet Home Campaign and USA Cares in more than one way. They have pledged to donate 20% of all software sales made through the Home Sweet Home Campaign website. They also announced last week a new 40% discount program to all Service Members who purchase the #1 Anti-Virus software available today; Defender Pro 15-in-1 through this special link set up for members of the Armed Forces and their families, www.DefenderPro15in1.com They also donated more than 500 pieces of software at LA County Fair "Day For Heroes", on September 11, 2009, which was distributed to Service Members.
"In today's electronic world, the internet is the most efficient way for our deployed military to communicate with their families back home. This is the very least we can do to help keep that communication safe. It is our way of saying "thank you' to all the brave Service Members who get up every day and put on a uniform to protect our country. We are excited to support the Home Sweet Home Campaign's journey to raising $1 million for USA Cares," remarked Dan VanHoose, Defender Pro spokesman. About the Home Sweet Home Campaign
The Home Sweet Home Campaign was inspired by Tim Little; a US Army reservist who served two tours in the Middle East and currently suffers from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). Little and his family nearly lost their home while he was being evaluated by the VA, but thanks to USA Cares, they were able to stay in their home and focus on the future and healing.
The Home Sweet Home Campaign has pledged to raise $1 million dollars for USA Cares Warrior Treatment Today Program. Raising funds through the TShirts 4 Soldiers and Groups That Care programs, the Campaign will be helping wounded veterans and their families keep their homes while the veteran receive the treatment he or she needs and deserves. For every product sold, a portion of the proceeds will be donated directly to USA Cares. USA Cares is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to help bear the burdens of service by providing post 9/11 military families with monetary and advocacy support in their time of need, preventing private military home
foreclosures and evictions.
