Husband Saves Wife's Life and She Lives to Write About It
Hidden Treasure: A Story About Life, Love & Almost Losing It All
RIVERSIDE, Calif., October 2, 2018 (Newswire.com) - A thoughtful act from her husband saved speaker and author Kara Adams life. Late in April Kara's husband, Troy Adams brought a movie home that he thought was a romantic comedy but in actuality was a tear jerker. Spoiler Alert, the leading lady, died of breast cancer and left behind her loving husband and two young children. After crying through the entire movie, Kara decided to schedule a mammogram first thing that Monday morning. Two weeks later she was being told that she had stage 1, type 2, triple positive breast cancer. When her doctor heard what brought her in to be tested, he turned to her husband and told him that his act of kindness just saved her life. Kara was inspired by their journey to recovery and wrote the book Hidden Treasure — a story that shows women how to take tragedy and turn it into life's triumphs.
Through her book Hidden Treasure, Kara now shows women how to step into their true identity as glorious, empowered, magnificent beings. "Don't let stories from your past keep you in the background and prevent you from living your purpose or achieving your dreams," says Kara, who gives her readers a transparent look into her own life as a mother, wife, and executive. Through her book she gives women all over the world a roadmap for finding passion and purpose in their own lives.
Wow. Kara has written a beautiful piece of work. I am in awe of her power of description and her ability to evoke emotion. I bow down to her strength, her courage, her character, and the representation of the Divine Feminine that she is. I have been called tenacious, but I could never hold a candle to her tenacity. Brava, my friend!

Kara’s professional background includes more than 15 years of marketing strategy, improving company performance and product utilization in the financial services industry. She became known as an expert in customer journeys for the largest auction house in the world, worth 16.7 billion dollars, and as the vice president of marketing for a credit union in Riverside County — a 1.3 billion dollar financial institution. But Kara’s real claim to fame, and why so many talented women seek her out, is the powerful story of how she reclaimed herself as a “hidden treasure” and learned to live a life full of joy, meaning, and purpose.
Readers of her book have expressed great enthusiasm for her work and have been quoted as saying:
