A new voluntary scheme is being introduced with the intention of providing consumers with a consistent food labeling system for food products within our supermarkets.

Labelservice, a UK based custom label printing company, were partners in designing a new chemical label for Aggie Mackenzie's brand new cleaning product range.
The company were given just four days in which to produce designs from scratch. They were instructed to design a variety of over twenty different labels for use on both front and back of this new cleaning range.
The popular TV presenter, famous for presenting the well-known Channel 4 series How Clean Is Your House?, decided to introduce new Probiotic Cleaning products. The products, to name a few, briefly include: a washing machine freshener, shoe and trainer freshener, bin freshener and a hard floor cleaner.
'Probiotic' is recognised by many for its use in food products that are designed to correct the balance between the healthy and harmful bacteria in our bodies. Due to growing concern over the potentially harmful chemicals within our day to day cleaning products, users are now seeking out more environmentally friendly alternatives.
Aggie Mackenzie's new range will provide users with a product that is healthier, cleaner and safer for the environment. The probiotic within the product works by using the good bacteria to to control and exclude harmful negative bacteria from any surface. This process is known as 'Competitive Exclusion'.
Labelservice have significant experience in chemical labelling, both designs and manufacturing, and this successful project is another example of the company's prowess in the area. They also pride themselves on their ability to build up successful long-term relationships with their clients who can either be an experienced buyer or a business / individual ordering for the very first time.
Labelservice used the very latest in digital print technology to produce the wide variety of label designs for these new products. After approval they were printed in full colour onto a waterproof polypropylene material, with an extra permanent adhesive that has the ability to withstand any chemical migration through the bottles.
The job was successfully completed by Labelservice with yet another satisfied customer. The Probiotic range was such a big hit and has now expanded to include a new Pet Care Range.
