I-Cubed CEO Appointed Vice Chair of N.C. State Computer Science Strategic Advisory Board

I-Cubed, a company specializing in the integration and collaboration of enterprise systems, announced today the appointment of CEO Donald A. Thompson, Jr. as Vice Chair of N.C. State University's Computer Science Strategic Advisory Board.

State University's Computer Science Strategic Advisory Board (SAB). Thompson brings his extensive knowledge and background in enterprise software to this leadership role.

As Vice Chair, Thompson works closely with the Chairperson and department leadership to ensure N.C. State's Computer Science Department is among the nation's finest and most significant. He provides input, guidance and support to help shape the department's focus and growth and meet its long-term strategic goals while continuing to offer the highest quality education for students. After a one-year term as Vice Chair, Thompson will assume the Chairperson role in 2011.

The SAB is the cornerstone of the Computer Science Department's strategic planning efforts and is comprised of premier leaders from business, technology and academia who all share a common vision of the significant role computer science has at N.C. State and on the extended technology community. Thompson serves on the board with other esteemed leaders from companies like Cisco, IBM and SAS.
