I-Cubed Selected To Speak At PlanetPTC Live 2011

Online, June 13, 2011 (Newswire.com) - I-Cubed announced today its selection by PlanetPTC to speak at the 2011 PlanetPTC Live conference in Las Vegas. Robin Yates, Director of Emerging Technologies at I-Cubed, will present on Model Based Definition (MBD) within Creo Elements/Pro environments with Roy Whittenburg, Project Manager at Universal Technical Resource Services, Inc.

I-Cubed was among a select group of PTC partners chosen to host an educational session on innovative solutions using PTC's software products. I-Cubed's presentation will focus on MBD, the design of CAD models in 3D using advanced technology which enables organizations to efficiently distribute and reuse 3D models throughout their supply chain and the lifecycle of a product. MBD accelerates the product development process, improves collaboration, and allows for higher quality products at lower costs.

"This joint customer-partner presentation will describe the value of MBD and how we overcame the challenges associated with helping the US Army realize its goals in MBD adoption," said Yates. "We'll discuss short-term gaps in technology and best practices in implementing MBD."

Yates provides technical leadership for product-based solution delivery at I-Cubed and has worked with technologies related to model based design for over 25 years. Whittenburg has over 17 years of experience in a variety of CAD/CAM roles and sits on several national technical committees for solid modeling. In recent years, he chaired a team from the Army Research Laboratory focused on MBE objectives.
