24 November 2009: i365, Inc., a Seagate company and leading on-premise and cloud-connected storage solutions provider, announces its EVault Plug-n-Protect product as the winner of the archiving/backup product of the year category in the TechWorld Awards 2009.

Techworld publishes IT industry news, reviews, articles and blogs for technical professionals and enterprise users in the UK. Its awards honour products that offer users real value for money combining technical excellence and innovation with a way to improve business efficiencies. The awards are chosen by a panel of expert judges from the IT press and analyst communities.

The winning product is the EVault Plug-n-Protect all in one backup and recovery appliance, which is an additional deployment option to complement the existing i365 EVault Software, SaaS, and outsourced managed service offerings that are trusted by over 22,000 customers worldwide. It consists of pre-configured hardware and storage, plus a complete suite of EVault Software. The solution simplifies deployment to increase efficiencies for small and medium sized businesses by providing a single vendor solution with streamlined procurement, installation and configuration.

The award win is a result of i365's extensive work in developing appliances that customers can seamlessly deploy with less effort and at a significantly lower cost than purchasing the individual components separately. Customers benefit from enterprise-class backup and recovery technology for small and mid-size businesses in an easy to implement appliance, as well as across the board standardisation for remote and branch offices within large enterprises. There is also a single point of contact for backup software, hardware and storage support so customers can easily scale up their backup storage capacity as their business and data grows.

Keith Gnagey, Managing Director of EMEA at i365 commented: "We are very proud of this award; it confirms we have successfully created a product that meets our customers' needs. We intend to continue to deliver on-premise and cloud-connected storage solutions to provide every customer with access to low cost, easy cloud redundancy protection and access to business data anytime, anywhere. We were competing against some of the industry leaders and feel honoured to have been awarded the title of 'Archiving/Backup Product of the Year 2009'."
