iBackPack Tops $500k on Crowdfunding Site Indiegogo

Austin, Texas start-up iBackPack has topped the half a million mark on crowdfunding site Indiegogo. It expects to more than quadruple that number when launching on crowdfunding giant Kickstarter within the next few weeks.

"When releasing a new product into the crowdfunding space you never know what to expect" states Doug Monahan, CEO & Founder of Austin, Texas based iBackPack.  Mr. Monahan further explains "We have extremely high-hopes for the iBackPack product line and a half a million dollars is nothing to sneeze at - however I am very confident the upcoming Kickstarter campaign will dwarf the Indiegogo numbers."

The iBackPack is a revolutionary new piece of technology that is very solidly in the wearable tech-space. The iBackPack has over fifty high-tech products designed to hold all of the electronic gear millenials carry each day. These include pockets for iPhones, Android smartphones, iPads and Android style tablets as well as pockets for notebook computers. The bags are fully TSA compliant to ensure anyone traveling with high-tech gear will breeze through security checkpoints throughout the world. "We have been working closely with members of the US Homeland Security as well as Airports in France, Germany, Australia and Brazil. Each of them have emphatically stated our designs fully comply with their rigid requirements for notebook computer security testing" says Duncan Bonnici, Chief Technology Officer, iBackPack.

"Indiegogo is like the minor leagues compared to Kickstarter - and we fully expect to be able to rock it on Kickstarter when launching in the next few weeks" states Ile Jugovski, Vice President, iBackPack.

The $500k dollars hasn't been touched and is instead being held until after the iBackPack launches on crowdfunding giant Kickstarter. The combined Indiegogo and Kickstarter monies will empower start-up iBackPack to garner significant discounts when purchasing the bags, batteries and other electronics included in the iBackPack. These savings will be passed along to the early backers in the way of what is known as "stretch goals" - meaning those who backed the product earliest will receive special perks that follow-on pledgers will have to pay for.

"Indiegogo is like the minor leagues compared to Kickstarter - and we fully expect to be able to rock it on Kickstarter when launching in the next few weeks" states Ile Jugovski, Vice President, iBackPack. Mr. Jugovski further explains "Our team has invested over two years in the software and hardware development efforts for the iBackPack and we are proud to see that the crowd-funding space has recognized our achievements."

The iBackPack includes multiple extremely powerful batteries, yet lightweight and provides internet access through AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint in the USA and numerous other internet providers worldwide. The iBackPack becomes a moving "hot-spot" that allows up to six individuals to connect to the internet anywhere in the world. The iBackPack has plans to introduce its new technology to the retail chains Wal-Mart, KMart, Target, BestBuy and Bed Bath and Beyond in Summer, 2016.
