Regional directors coordinate activities among agencies in their respective regions, assist in recruiting new or replacement member agencies and organizing regional meetings, and lead regional new business initiatives. ICOM has 18 agency members throughout Asia/Pacific.

"ICOM has been impressed with Raymond Sun's engagement with the network and his willingness to assist ICOM members and their clients entering the Chinese market. His energy, ambition and youth will be good for the Asia/Pacific Region."

Gary Burandt, Executive Director of ICOM

This widespread region of fast-growing markets is important to ICOM agencies around the world as their clients expand into the area. Gary Burandt, ICOM executive director, said Mr. Sun was selected for this position because “we have been impressed with his engagement with the network, his regular attendance at ICOM meetings and his willingness to assist ICOM members and their clients entering the Chinese market. His energy, ambition and youth will be good for the Asia/Pacific Region and for the ICOM Board.”

Mr. Sun, an experienced domestic branding expert, opened Revo Branding, in 2007, and has grown the organization so that it now operates five subsidiaries offering advertising creative services, public relations, entertainment marketing, interactive services and experiential marketing. The agency has received numerous awards for its fast growth and excellent advertising.

“We focus on helping brands mature, cultivating brand leadership and making firms different,” Mr. Sun said.

In his new ICOM post, Mr. Sun succeeds Johnny Mun, who resigned both as a director and from the network when he closed his agency, Krakatua, in Kuala Lumpur.

ICOM is the world’s largest network of independent advertising and marketing communications agencies with more than 90 agency members in 65-plus countries. Annual billings total US$3.5 billion with gross income exceeding US$500 million.
