ICONventional Launches First Compilation Album

Company's 'pay what you want' experience allows listeners to discover and support rising independent artists.

ICONventional releases their first compilation album on iconventional.com, featuring five artists with two tracks each. The minimum purchase price of the album is $1 and the 'pay what you want' experience allows listeners to more directly support the artists.

Among the artists included in this album are one-man-band 'Easily Alien' and rising pop star 'Todd Michael Schultz'. These artists were chosen by ICONventional through independent discovery and selection from user submissions.

According to Zachary Koontz, co-founder, "ICONventional aims to provide independent artists with both monetary and fan support at a reasonable price to the listener. People today aren't as willing to pay for music, making it very difficult for independent artists to succeed. If we can sell thousands of albums every week imagine what this would mean for the artists."

All content will be available as 160 kbps or higher MP3 files (and FLAC/WAV, if available) and is completely DRM-free. Each purchase can be downloaded a total of three times through the website at any time.

"We hope that people welcome the simplicity of ICONventional," says Minh Hoang, co-founder. Discovering new music is now easier than ever."
