ID Integration Unfetters UID for Customers with New Mobile Industrial Marking Systems

Unique Identification (UID) solutions for branches of the United States military and their suppliers, announced its new Mobile Industrial Marking Systems (MIMS).

MUKILTEO, WA - October 2009 - ID Integration (IDI), an integrator in its 15th year of producing custom, Unique Identification (UID) solutions for branches of the United States military and their suppliers, announced its new Mobile Industrial Marking Systems (MIMS).

A program of the United States Department of Defense, UID enables improved access to information about DoD possessions, thereby enhancing the efficiency of item acquisition, repair and deployment.

Each version of MIMS provides customers with the ultimate in flexibility - the ability to move one or more custom, built-in marking systems to the desired location quickly and easily.

"MIMS will do for UID what the cell phone did for communications - provide the user with the ability to take the technology where it is needed," said Gary Moe, President, ID Integration. "As an independent integrator of UID solutions, we are in the business of customer satisfaction. We have been providing best-in-class UID solutions or years. MIMS adds an important dimension to our ability to satisfy customers' needs."

The basic transport mechanism is a small or large cart on wheels. The width of both sizes is 29 inches. Thus, the cart can fit through a doorway.

IDI can build a marking system consisting of virtually any combination of components - such as a Trotec CO2 laser, a RFID laser printer from Lexmark and a UID barcode verifier -- onto a cart.

For customers that need a larger transport mechanism, IDI can build one or more marking systems into vehicles such as a golf cart and a self-contained mobile trailer.

Another huge plus of MIMS is that each transport mechanism can accommodate additional hardware if a customer's needs grow.

An industrial laptop that is resistant to dust, spills as well as shock and vibration is a standard feature of each cart-based system. The mount on which the laptop is attached to the cart can swivel and can be adjusted for height.

Other standard features include a centralized power management panel, a centralized network router switch, a large secured storage cabinet and an integrated, variable-speed air filtration system with HEPA and carbon filters.

Available options include one of more UID barcode verification system, a lateral shelf for an additional marking system, a laser rotary for cylindrical parts and shock-absorbing castors.
