Id8 Is Named the Official Graphic Design Firm for the 2013 Atlanta Jazz Festival

Metro Atlanta-based graphic and web design firm, id8, has been named the official graphic design firm chosen to create all of the print and web promotional materials for the 2013 Atlanta Jazz Festival.

id8, a metro Atlanta-based graphic design and web design firm, has been awarded the privilege of designing the print and web promotional materials for the 2013 Atlanta Jazz Festival. The collection of promotional materials include a poster, brochure, signage, t-shirts, event badges, app graphics, website graphics, print ads and 31 Days of Jazz materials. The 36th Annual Atlanta Jazz Festival will be held Memorial Day weekend May 25-27, 2013, at Piedmont Park.

id8 has provided graphic design work for the City of Atlanta and the Atlanta Jazz Festival since 2009. id8 art director, Julie Cofer, was in charge of the 2013 Atlanta Jazz Festival graphic design concept development. The inspiration for the chosen design came from this year's Atlanta Jazz Festival theme "Generation Next." The purpose of the theme is to celebrate tomorrow's jazz legends and icons.

The 2013 Atlanta Jazz Festival poster, which features "Layers," the signature artwork created by Atlanta artist Charly Palmer, is a representative piece of the design collection. The poster was recently revealed at the 2013 Atlanta Jazz Festival preview party. The preview party, hosted by Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed, was held at the Loews Atlanta Hotel and featured a performance by Alexandra Jackson, daughter of Valerie Jackson and the late Maynard Jackson.

"The Atlanta Jazz Festival is extremely pleased with the graphic design work provided by id8 for this year's poster design," said Nnena U. Nchege, Festival Manager, Atlanta Jazz Festival. "The poster embodies our theme of 'Generation Next,' which looks toward the future, while preserving our past."

id8 is also among the major sponsors of the 2013 Atlanta Jazz Festival that Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed personally thanked for being involved with the festival. Other sponsors include PNC Bank, The Coca-Cola Company, Celebrity Cruises, Publix Super Markets, Bank of America, England Pianos, Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau, Federal Home Loan Bank-ATL, MARTA, and Loews Atlanta Hotel.

The annual Atlanta Jazz Festival is presented by the City of Atlanta Office of Cultural Affairs, a division of the Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs. The Atlanta Jazz Festival is a 501(c)(3) non-profit cultural organization whose mission is to educate and entertain a diverse audience of jazz fans and to nurture the next generation of jazz musicians. The 2013 Atlanta Jazz Festival will present some of today's most innovative "Generation Next" performers, such as Jose James, Gretchen Parlato, Meshell Ndegeocello, Dominick Farinacci, Aaron Diehl, Tia Fuller, Jacob Deaton, Julie Dexter and Ambrose Akinsurire.
